The latest attempt to get the Norwich Anglia Square Redevelopment saga moving seems to have been successful after City Councillors met today to discuss the latest proposals. The major facelift to the whole area stalled following the economic credit crunch and has been on hold for a while but now work can get underway as soon as next year. Developers Centenary Ashcroft hope to build new homes, shops, health centre and replace the old multi story car park amongst the plans. |

Plans for a total redevelopment of Anglia Square have now been given the go ahead despite worries that the new proposed superstore included in the plans may well hit local traders. The plans were voted through by five votes to three. Proposals for the complete redevelopment also suggest a new name - Calvert Square. |
