The planned redevelopment of Anglia Square has hit the buffers as the recession looks like delaying the start of transformation work. The developer behind the work, Centenary Ashcroft, blame the current downturn in the property market with no firm date for the beginning of work.

Plans for a total redevelopment of Anglia Square have now been given the go ahead despite worries that the new proposed superstore included in the plans may well hit local traders. The plans were voted through by five votes to three. Proposals for the complete redevelopment also suggest a new name - Calvert Square.

Welcome to the Unofficial Norwich Anglia Square shopping Centre website. Located to the North of Norwich between Magdalen Street and St Augustines Street, this little shopping centre is a mecca for the discount shopper in us all.
 

Anglia Square Main Office

The Square plays host to a number of popular discount stores including QD, Pound Stretcher, 99p Stores and Roys of Wroxham. There is plenty of inexpensive parking on site at Anglia Square multi storey car park which has around 730 spaces including 5 disabled spaces. Public transport to Anglia Square is superb with very frequent bus services from a wide area.
